PESC-KSP Vision Mission and Objectives

Vision

The Philippine - European Solidarity Centre has a vision of society which emphasises sustainable economic development, equitable control and careful use of the earth's resources, democracy for all, and the accountability of government institutions and transnational actors to local communities. It envisions a society where respect for basic political and civil rights are guaranteed, where basic economic, social and cultural rights are vigorously promoted, and where gender equality and the rights of migrants, indigenous peoples and all cultural groups are ensured. Thus, the society it envisions is one where peoples and nations exercise control over their own destinies; where relationships at all levels are characterised by mutual respect, peace, equality and justice; and where cultural exchange and understanding are valued and promoted. Such a society would foster solidarity among all peoples based on common interests and aspirations, and the fact that we share the same planet.

Mission

The PESC-KSP mission is to realise this vision by supporting peoples of the Philippines and peoples of Europe in their quests for a more democratic and more equitable society; by fostering solidarity between the people's of Europe and those of the Philippines; and by promoting just and equal relationships between the countries of Europe and the Philippines.
